On March 24, 2021, an Alameda Superior Court ruled in favor of the Oakland A’s in their lawsuit against the California DTSC to enforce the hazardous waste control laws at Schnitzer Steel in West Oakland. This ruling is a big step towards considerable environmental changes for the surrounding neighborhoods.
